Hossack was born in Steinbach the province of Manitoba in Canada. The musical theater journey began at the age of a teenager in Killarney, Manitoba. The first thing she was a piano player as she began studying at Brandon University studies. Then she switched to singing. When she graduated she said she just wanted to act and was not interested in dramatics. She studied fine arts at the Banff School of Fine Arts shortly after she finished her studies at Brandon. Hossack was first performing on stages at both the Rainbow Stage as well as at the Muskoka Festival, in Winnipeg. Other World (1989-1992); Cobra (1993-1994) and Profit (1996); Hope Island (1999) as well as Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2004). Her Canadian television appearance was as Falcon Beach was in 2006.
