Anamaria is a Romanian actor. She debuted on the big screen on Sex Traffic by Channel 4 and won she was awarded the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father was an actor as well as her mother was a violinist. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. She was chosen as the first European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. In addition to her stellar performance in Sex Traffic, Anamaria Marinca will be remembered by the character she played in Romanian artist-directed film 4 Months 3, Weeks 2, Days. This film won several awards, including being awarded the European Film Award Best Actress given by the British Film Critics. In 2007, she was in as a character in the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 months, 3 weeks, and 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film was awarded two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. The film was released in 2008. She starred as Yasim of Angwar in the BBC miniseries of five episodes The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest on the Romanian drama Boogie along with Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. Then she played Irma's German aunt in Fury that was released in 2014.
